BARMOUTH RESORT IMPROVEMENT GROUP

THE RAILWAY PROJECT

THE PLANS FOR THE STATION

In early 2010, we outlined Barmouth Railway Station as a place that needed our touch.  Although the Station is kept clean and tidy in general, and especially by Max Heron, we felt that it need sprucing up and a complete make over to give it that extra lift. Ideas were formed and plans were made to replace and add benches, bins, notice boards showcasing the town,  new planting schemes, and general cleaning of the platform.

Dave Morris from LL DIY and his team, especially Keith And Ronnie, have maintained the Station fantastically, using a variety of seasonal plants and flowers.  Continued financial support has come from Harry Allday from the Las Vegas Amusement arcade who has been generous in helping to fund the new plants, flowers, and pots over many years.  Max Heron continues to keep the Station tidy and we thank him for his contribution.

STATION  SPONSORSHIP

The notice boards showing the events in the town were designed and created by Matthew Harris, with the picturesque views of Barmouth being made by Valerie and Kevin from the Oriel Gallery.

The Benches were designed by Matthew Harris, and are hand made by local craftsman Bruce Evans, They have been placed on the station and accompany the existing wooden benches.

The overall planting scheme was designed by Dave Morris and his team, who have also overseen all the work on the Station since the original plans of BRIG were put in place in spring 2010.
